Envirodrill has secured a 10000m, 2 year contract, to provide core drilling services at 3 locations in Liberia for BHP Billiton. New MD3 Explorer for Sierra Leone

Envirodrill has been awarded a further phase of drilling by Axmin Ltd at their Nimini prospect in Sierra Leone, 3000 metres of further drilling is required and 2 drill rigs will be used on the contract. Envirodrill has chosen the Ingetrol Explorer because of its portability combined with impressive drilling performance and specifications. The company has a number of core drills employed in the region and is capable of providing services to remote, difficult access areas with its portable drill rigs as well as deeper productive drilling services using its new Atlas Copco CS1000 and CS14 drills.

Partner EDS in Mongolian Joint Venture

Envirodrill partner company Eurasian Drilling Systems Ltd has entered into a Joint Venture with a Mongolian company to initially provide Rotary Air Blast (RAB) drilling services in the country. A Klemm 802 drill rig set up is currently being mobilised to Mongolia and operations are expected to commence in April 2007. As well as RAB work the drill will also be capable of undertaking shallow RC drilling and taking core samples in soft to medium formations using air flush techniques. This coring method is particularly suitable for maximising recovery in soft, friable formations and has been used extensively for opencast coal exploration.
